The AARP generates income for persons over the age of 50 by a variety of endorsed health and investment programs.

Arts on the Prairie was founded as Dickinson's Art Council in 1978 and incorporated with 501(c)3 nonprofit status in 1980. It is a multi-disciplinary arts agency whose mission is to promote art and culture to integrate artistic/cultural activities to the total life of the population served. To accomplish this mission, the organization offers several projects each year.

Assumption Abbey/St. Mary's Church was built 1906-1910 in the Bavarian Romanesque style under the direction of Milwaukee architect Anton Dohmen. From 2000-2005, the church underwent major renewal of the interior and exterior.
